Alright folks place your bets... we're timing Stephen. Six minutes to take the bumper cover off

PS I'm on plastic duty and breaking clips left right and center. I have to say it's a lot of fun having Kevin and Stephen here and I'm learning to boot.

You are more than welcome Evan.....Zippy, not a problem for a slight tune on the IA500 for you. We can certainly handle that for you. Just let me know for sure when you are ready to ship so we can have the program ready to install.

Good luck with the car guys, can't wait to see how it comes out, I am sure between the turbo expert, expert engine builder, and ghetto master, the car will be...uh...interesting

Honestly Evan, it's a weekend I'll long remember. The amount of knowledge, know-how, expertize in my puny lil' two car garage is kinda funny- oh and then there's my wife, the throttle body expert.

The car is really taking shape nicely! So far we've change the gearing over to a powerglide with two modes. Freeway mode and valet mode.

As far as DSL goes hehe he popped open his laptop and was online via wireless on a 1.5mb up and down in seconds I gave him da hook upz.

Very cool Alex, as I said I can't wait to see what you guys can produce .

I am sure you are learning a lot, doesn't get any better then watching and helping pros do work. This is what I do with my installer, instead of dropping the car off and letting him do installs, I watch and help with things wherever I can.. You learn a lot more when hands on, then when you hear about it...

Heh, damn you guys got that wireless shizzle in da hood , we had that here, but didn't reach my room upstairs for somereason so we are back to CAT5 wireing...

Man someday I gotta make a trip out there to meet you cali guys and see the cars (and maybe stop in Kansas, though farms aren't my thing j/k Stephen, I would love to see your shop and meet you).
O well, time for sleep, going out to Moroso Speedway tomorrow to chill with a local Porsche club, I can't run though...too young .

That sounds great Stephen. I will be staying away from work for a week or so to help my wife out around the house with our 4 day old son (1st kid).

It might be a good idea for me to print off your ECU removal instructions from your "How To" section of your site @ ImagineAuto.com and take the boy out to the garage for the first time while the wife has a little nap!

What's your schedule looking like for the Ghetto Lunar Mission?

Mike

It really is so easy peasey I think Stephen's pictures will help you a lot. All you need to do is (if you don't have the BOSE) is pull up the carpet behind the rear seats (the one below the "turbo" script ledge. You'll see to metal panels and a bolt in between them (in the middle). Losten that one and the lil' guys on the sides and pull the left side try up and over. The DME box is mounted underneath it and attatched with four screws. Get 'em out, unplug the (five I think) harnesses and there's your box ready to ship. Seriously takes like 5 mins at the very most.

PS Congrats on the newborn! Damn that must be exciting

To quote the Matrix, "I'm very excited to see what you [ghettoturbo] is capable of. Mmm very exciting times".

Only I wouldn't light a match in the garage

What the hell is up with you and the cat5 man! You have to sort that stuff out. Damn, I'll go in the garage and see if I can't dig out an old wireless gateway or something that I took trade on for my pimp suit. Good heavens, since I write all my articles at home, I can't stand being in the same spot for five minutes so I do all my work either outside in the jaccuzzi, by the pool or upstairs in front of the telly. Depends on the weather but I even take my laptop in the garage with me or better still just pull over on long drives and check my email using someone elses open wireless setup when I find it

Bah.. sorry Zippy, just realized yours is a 2002 so you "might" have the bose sub back there. In which case it's the same but just remove the sub first is all
