So, the HRE's went on and were almost immediately taken off after discovering one wheel wasn't holding air. Somewhere along the way (likely a bonehead tire tech), the seal on one wheel was damaged. So the wheels that came with the car from the PO went back on.

The car has been running impecably - I've put maybe 5-600 miles on it since I've owned it since December.

I went ahead and did the GT2 Slave conversion after finding pentosin underneath the hood and on my garage floor up by the front reservoir. Instead of just replacing slave cylinder (PO changed accumulator but never the slave cylinder), I opted for the entire conversion, using EVOMS kit.

Had it done at Parkhaus 1 down here in Miami. Love the new clutch pedal feel - yes a lot stiffer but the engagement point is always right there. Very happy with it.



Found some half decent hollow spoke twists locally. Didn't realize these things were so darn light. New tires have been ordered as well.

Oil change and brakes service (Pagid RS14 pads and OEM Rotors) getting done tomorrow. Prob gonna flush the brake fluid as well while I'm in there.

 

Holy cow. Been a while since I've posted here.

The car has gone up to NC/TN and to the Dragon twice since my last post here. Both times in April, and also to Southern Worthersee once, last year in May.

 

About time to start looking towards the 60k service. No real issues to report.

Plans potentially include changing seats for some recaros and something with better/larger bolsters (and maybe a rear seat delete), a gt2 wing (or replica lol). I'd also love a OEM tequipment half cage as well.

Don't you guys have a crazy widebody BMW as well? I used to own a E30 and now a E46 daily and swear I remember seeing it at one of the MBC meets on Thursdays.
