I remember that video from 2-3yrs ago. Definitely Lonman with a tuned TT. Does anybody have that video? That link doesn't seem to be loading up.

Pls let me know if anybody has that video.

Thanks

ask gowide - there's a *world* of difference between a bpu & a small single turbo ;-)

i have to say - they're both crazy :-)
Exactly what I was thinking....BPU.

A single turbo Supra is in a entirely different league than both of those cars in straight-line acceleration.

Cool video, nonetheless.

Whats your definition of tuned? I think Basic Power Upgrades can also be called tuned.

A *small* single turbo isnt great, you need a large single turbo on that thing.

Supras properly modified can definately hold their own in the straights and especially from a roll. The antsy part about those cars are getting the launching down pat when you're pushing real power to the wheels. Also not that great in the handling department. Why doesn't Nissan bring the r34 Skyline GT-R here!

i believe that Lonman's GT2 was slightly tuned. Boost was increased by about 0.2 to 0.4 bar. and a taller 6th gear was fitted so it could keep up with the Enzo's top speed

Considering there were 3 guys in that Supra, it was probably on pump gas and still had STOCK turbos, I'd consider keeping up with a GT2 (yes, they kept up, it was well within their site), a car that was 7-9 years newer and cost 4-5 times what a Supra did new, is a testament to the overengineering Toyota put into that car.
Whoever said Supra's don't handle well needs to take one out on a race course. These cars still corner like few others and were well ahead of their time in the handling and braking department.

er, the only reason it kept up was traffic...how many times did it have to leave the supra standing for you to be convinced ?
