Drivers side window suddenly stopped working??

Title says it all, window worked perfectly yesterday, today doesn't move at all. Doesn't even do the slight up and down bit when you open the door. Nothing...
When I hit the button in the car I can see the voltage drop for a second whether I push up or down and I can hear an audible click in the door panel so it's getting power but it does nothing not even a wiggle.
I was first assuming the motor failed but there was no lead up to failure or ever any indication that there was an issue, just one day it stopped and hasn't worked since.
Any ideas???
Passenger side works perfectly, and locks work fine. But I don't think it's connected.

That was the plan but was hoping someone had this exact issue as search turned up nothing.
Like the windows slight opening is the door latch. Been down that road already. But I appreciate the help regardless.

Unless there is a relay that you hear clicking that may not be working the only way to find out is to investigate. Hopefully someone will give you better information.

2) door latch mech?! ( but why wouldn't the window open from the button?! )
3) sorry, only had window regs and door latches a'plenty. sounds like neither, so this can't help much someone will have had this happen, hoping they will advise. GL.

If the switch is good you have to follow back towards window with a test light, I have fixed tons of windows and that's how I found problem.

Ok I pulled the door panel off don't see any broken cables or wires. Clicking the window switch I can hear the relays tripping in both up and down, the down relay is much quieter than the up relay if that matters??
Pulled the plug off the back of the motor, checked with test light and there is Definetly 12 volts going to the motor on both up and down.
Any ideas??
Don't think it's the motor as it showed no signs of failing before it just didn't work one day and hasn't moved at all since.
Regulator? I hear the relays tripping but as said the up relay very noticeable click the down relay, much quieter, too weak perhaps? I'm not sure.
Before I order parts anybody have any ideas??

i'm goin with door latch mech ( again )..

isn't this like deja vu all over again? i could swear we were dealing with this same issue same time cpl years back lol.
( never mind.. the window up/down at door opening wouldn't have anything at all to do with the window operation on its own. ) = stymied. sorry.

Update, pulled it all out. I'm thinking it's the motor but seems still odd.
The motor works perfectly in the up direction but does nothing in the down position. I separated the motor from the regulator, figured out which prong it was and jumped it with a battery charger.....nothing on the down, works on the up. Tried replugging back into car same deal.
The relay on the up sounds strong it works, the relay on the down sounds weak it doesn't work.
Has anyone had this? Can you replace just the relay? Or know of a vw/audi number for the window motor? The porsche part is not overly cheap at the usual places, pelican, suncoast etc.

out of my depth and you probably do need a new motor.. i find some stuff we can safely get "used" if you can find it? .. i just today bought a used frunk latch electrical widget. what a strange item that is. it's probably off a dead boxter lol

maybe search ebay like i did? found one used. 120 at pelican. 35 used and operable. but i certainly understand all new,..all the time. gl w it.

Update, I smacked it around a bit to see if it was just a stuck relay, plugged it back into the car and it works perfectly now. Freakin weird.
Not sure if I put it back together and it'll just fail again, possibly. I did a little checking around with the porsche dealers in my city and online , nobody stocks the motor as nobody has ever had the need to replace it. As far as dealers say.
I'm going to throw it back together tomorrow see if it works. That way I can see if the regulator is all bunged up or if it's fine. Apparently it's the regs that always break. Everybody stocked those.

Put it back in and give it a shot, may as you said be a stuck relay. Hope it works.
