Let me back up on this, and make sure that I did not overstate my position on these..

#1) There was nothing wrong with the installation job of the Ruf front bumper along with all the required Ruf ducting that was installed as well.

#2) The only /bracket/support that was replaced with a GT2 version was the center radiator.. This is where I got the price tag of $1000, but it was actually closer to $850.. The RUF center ducting is still installed on the car..

PWDRhound.. You having this same bumper, is the center radiator positioned at a straight or upward angle like the turbo set-up, or is like the GT2 set-up where is is angled facing down so that the air can escape through the GT2 style ducts?

The reason the ducting was replaced, was because I wanted to angle the radiator down to be able to give it a better look into the cooling systems that I make.. Now if it was already like that before hand (I don't think it was) then I should have done more due dillegence before allowing the decision to be made/ parts to be installed... All in all, I'm very happy with the way the radiators were installed and how they came out, but if I did something stupid, then I guess it's a learning lesson for future service..

that makes slightly more sense. the center rad needs 2 angled brackets and 2 hoses to be grafted onto the radiator after its flipped. then a ductwork goes behind the radiator to direct the air. thats close to 1000$ right there

that has been my thinking only with my limited knowledge of how ruf builds/installs that they use THEIR parts. so it seemed strange. thx for clarifying.

That shot looks great Ravi. That clears it up. PWDRhound really know his stuff because he lives at the track so I'll be interested to hear his take.

What they did was tilt the rad and install a vertical ductwork like the gt3 /2 has to direct the air from the front thru the rad and up over the hood. 2brackets 400$ each the verticals duct 115$ and 2 hoses 30 plus hardware and spacers.
To the op look at your center radiator was it flipped upside down? That's what they do to convert turbo rad to gt2

Spot on..
Yes it's flipped upside down, and mounted like a GT2 setup..

in my head i see about 50$ for the hardware and spacers , 50$ for the 2 hoses for another 50$and mocking up the flipped radiator with the upper bracket not bolted down. cut the bracket at the bottom and spread the bracket so it sits flush and mark it. then weld in a small piece to take up the new angled space and its done. add the backside ductwork 115$. maybe 250$ total. very likely the route ill try

So I have a customer who has a 997GT3 RS.. Ironically he made all of his money selling Honda parts (go figure, lol)..
- He also picked up his GT3RS for $103,000 with 24,000 miles.. WOW!

Anyways, after our meeting.. the sun was going down so we decided to get a 'golden hour; impromptu photo shoot with our two cars..

I think the urban feel with the contrasting color cars came out pretty good!!

Enjoy the pics, and have a nice weekend!!

Awesome shots! 103k for that RS is insane. I wanted to get rid of my GTR for a 997 GT3 (non-RS) but i'll be damned if they haven't all gone up 20k in the past 4 months.

They are cool but they ain't that cool...

This weekend in Southern California was just nuts if you are a car fan..

On Saturday morning was the Platinum Motors (Hollywood, CA) PML Quickstrike event charity car cruise from Sunset blvd in Hollywood to Malibu..

I rolled with the Orange County caravan from Seal Beach at 6:00 am to get to hollywood at 7:00.. I had never been to one of these events, but this was epic!!
Rolled with a moded 458, Aventador, 2 GTR-S, Corvette, a few motorcycles, CTS-V, R8 Spyder, and a few BMW's.. Rolling down the 405 at 6:00 am was insane..
3 guys got pulled over and busted.. lol.

300 of the best sports cars in city were there, and hardparked right on hollywood blvd at 7:00 for sunrise..We literally all just parked are cars on hollywood blvd, and got out with traffic being blocked and reduced to 1 line.. It was amazing for about 20 minutes until the cops showed up.. At that point a completely modded out Aventador came by shooting flames out of the exhaust in front of the cops, lol..

Also a pair of Carrera GT's with one of them being a Gembella Mirage

We all got in our cars, and then rolled in a big caravan to the cars&coffee in Malibu.. At one point it was bumper/bumper in a tunnel getting off the 405 into Malibu.. The sounds of revving engines in there was

Great event, and will definetly be going to the next one like this.. Did about 300 miles in my car this weekend, and loving it more and more
