Tuned 996tt 1.1 bar consistent, now 0.8 bar?

Hey guys, my tuned 996 has been running 1.1bar consistently throughout the powerband. Today I got on ithe throttle and it felt as if there was a lack of throttle or acceleration. Boost shows erratic 0.7 to 0.9bar. No cel. My mods are exhaust, evolution diverter valves, everything else is stock. Can anyone make an educated guess as to what might be going on? No assistant leaks, although I haven't gotten underneath the car yet. Idle is smooth, nothing out of the ordinary. Double checked some vacuum lines, but there is more to look at.

Thanks everyone, for any suggestions.

That's how mine acted when an intercooler hose was hanging halfway out of the connector. It was a lower hose.

you're on the right course. +1 vac leak/hose(s). wg's. if the leaks dont become quickly evident you'll have to pressure test,.. and dont forget possibly check valve/wg's that stuff when it goes south wreaks havoc with boost level(s). GL

Thanks guys, the 996 it's still pretty new to me. Must I take the bumper off to check the connections? And get under the car to check the wastegates?

Do a pressure test. I use the hoses coming off the turbos, pressurize and you'll find it.

Jacked up the car, took the rear bumper off, realized I didn't need to do this. In the first 2 photos there is an apparent oil leak, which has been there since I purchased the car. Recently changed the oil, nothing out of the ordinary, 8.75 quarts left.

Also did not find any apparent hoses that were not fitted properly. Looks like pressure test is indicated. Remove the hose going into the turbo from the ic, then connect an air compressor? Any advice on the create an effective seal? The only way to do this is with an air compressor?

Thanks everyone.

Lastly what exhaust is this? No markings. I have oem x50 tips.

man, you're good. yes to compressor. i think 911 tuning here sells a tester? or guys make their own from stuff easily gotten from home depot. looks like its something you can also handle. I'm a bit embarrassed to say, i cant recall the exact psi it needs to "hold" but something like 20? my buddy has a kit and compressor, i just stand there opening beer.

but you got this.

So I did a pressure test, everything is tightened up. Huge difference. Had a leak going into one of the dv's. Had a major leak coming from the ypipe to tb, then another one exiting one of the intercoolers. Unfortunately I did not have another o-ring. I added Teflon underneath the ring, extending the diameter slightly. At this point the pipe didn't quite want to go into the end tank of the ic. Used a little lube and tapped it into place. Another test, airtight Seal!

Major difference driving, I guess I didn't notice it much for a while, as I don't get on the throttle as much.

Thanks everyone.

It was a lie, I try too, but my commute to work is so short, can't have a heavy foot when it's not warmed up. :-)
