Extraordinary battery drain when parked

dash cam with recording while parked?! nice!.. i'd begin right there .. anything "on" is an issue. i even double alarm with the remote when the car is parked so as to disable the internal movement sensor, as i read that puts the car fully to "sleep".
sorry, didn't realize ( see?! ) that you pulled fuses, but man, you have a lot of electronics. dollars to doughnuts that has something to do with the issue, but you folks know better than i do. gl with it..

Also, I've had the dashcam for ages and didn't have a problem until recently. In fact, I've done no changes or connections to the electrical system in the last year, so this is probably something else.

not knocking it! wish i had one. if i had a point it was only that these cars are more battery dependent than any I've ever dealt with, and that's with nothing added.
but clearly, you know better and more than i about the entire process. i still double click the remote though

My car can sit for 2-3 weeks and start without any issues even with a small Braille 21 battery. I always lock the car to put it to sleep.. Excessive drain is not normal..

I just started mine up after sitting for 7 wks in a 50degree garage, turned a little slow but started rite up. Wasn't aware that locking the doors uses less battery power, I thought the red flashing lite on dash would use more ????

it's a weird rumor or internet lore.. that if you disable the infrared that determines cabin movement ( ever toss something into your open car window with the car alarmed yet? try it for laughs lol ) that the car will then be in full "sleep' mode, while with it simply one click alarmed it is not "asleep". i can't say with 100% certainty if it's "true"?, but on the chance it is, i double click when i lock.
btw. the dash sensor is still "active" it is just the inside movement motion detecting portion of the alarm that is "disabled" that way. i know it works, i just don't know if less amperage is drawn for having done so.

Usually the simplest answer is usually the right answer, good luck hunting tho.

Honestly, you have a higher probability that the drain is coming from some aftermarket system rather than the stock system. Although you may have pulled a fuse there could be another power source or short somewhere with all those electronics. Did you install everything yourself? shouldn't the radio have 2 power sources, ignition and constant.

I know, sorry i was commenting to the OP, I too made a comment on all the gadgets, just referencing your post...

To conclude this thread:
The problem was indeed the alternator. As soon as it was disconnected the drain went down to almost zero. Replaced the alternator and packed away the Ctek charger
