Another /Drive video projecting 996tt values rising
The way I see it, have fun and do what you want with the car NOW. There much better investments that could be made elsewhere (non-automotive) if that is you're angle.
I'm not one to complain if my car at the very least holds the value I paid for it a few years down the line

The volume and frequency of references to the 996tt as an undervalued and high potential investment continues to generate a buzz that is inevitably going to put pressure on the prices.
A car is rarely an investment and I definitely do not consider mine one. But that said I see a lot of people that say they aren't concerned about money take a step back when its time to sell and the chickens come home to roost- mods/wheels etc $$$$ lol.
I don't buy mine as investments either. I buy them to drive and enjoy.
I was pleasantly surprised I was able to sell my 930 for significantly more than I had paid originally, even after driving it for years. Go figure.
Looks like that will be the case with my 996tt as well.

you guys are all on point. it astonishes me, that my old 993 carerra could conceivably get me TWO of these. that is crraazzy. i mean wtf!? so what we are water cooled and have headlamps that grow on you if you stare at them long enough
what IS the issue!?
i mean, it makes NO sense, values relative to other cars. it's a friggin mezger derived gt1 motor for cryin out loud lol find me another one of those! its not like we have miatas! .. dayum

I think the 996's were mass produced way more than the 930's. Now clean 930s,964s are a rarity.
I doubt we go the way of the air-cooled cars but do think the 996TT is gonna level off like the supras now.
I was making the point of desirability not just value and like I said in the 80s people did not like the older 930s.. As much as I like Supras ( bought a new one in 1994) you cant compare it to a Porsche 911 Turbo.
And many 911 owners graduated from the school of 2JZ..

... i kid
