Michelin Super Sport sizes for 996TT

Looking for recommendations on what size Michelin Super Sports to use on 2002 TT to replace stock 18 inch tires. Appreciate any advice.

if you mean the PS 2's then stay with stock sizes 225/40/18 x 295/30/18. although you can safely run a 315/30/18 rear for the wider plant they get pricey, as my last set were 475 a copy.

alternately you can also go a bit wider on stock twists with 235/40/18 I don't think that's too much of a stretch, but I'd leave the front alone if your car is stock, and only go the next wider rear if you feel you'd enjoy the wider stance. otherwise stay with a stock fitment on a stock car. michi's ps2 are among the best tire you can get for a street 996t.

The last time I checked, stock sizes were not available in Super Sport. (Probably why the OP was asking...)

yeah was confused myself. they make a 235/40/18 pss which i run and I've only looked for 315/30/18 in pss, and as we know. no go.

so ps2 is it for michi's in oem fitment.

We need to petition Michelin to make a super sport and our sizes! That in my opinion is the best tire that money can buy for the street right now. I currently run the PS two on the street and sport cups on the track. The super sport is apparently stickier then the PS2 and last much longer.

What about using PSS 235/40-18 and 275/35-18 on stock twists?
OD's are 25.4" and 25.6".

overall diameter on rear will cause issues if not even rub absent rolling fenders. but never even heard of that size on rear(s). so, are you on stock twists? if so stay within the original size choices i proffered. you'll be fine and no abs/psm viscous coupler issues to contend with down the line. 'good luck".

I've emailed them multiple times, telling them to make a 315/30/18 or a 295 in our sizes. Each time I do, I get a generic response back from someone who clearly hasn't even read what I wrote.
