Guys my point of tracking is not to become a pro or become an every weekend tracker...I only want to do it with MY car to see how a turbo really runs on a track...this group is non-competitive and is really just lapping at your own pace so you can get some track time with your car without putting yourself in a dangerous or uncomfortable position...I would be part of a Novice group that would need an instructer the first time to show me the ropes and you move up as you get comfortable...no competetive racing for me

Evan - I hear you but my comments still stand. Read the book that way you will understand the terminology, concepts, AND basic safety.
Also, don't think your safe: YOUR NOT! Ask racer63 how many shunts he's seen at DE events. Please make sure you pick a safe track and have fun.

 

Trust me I know you are right, I just wanted to make sure you knew this was not competitive racing, just some fun lapping...yes I know I am not safe, but am SAFER!! Also I know this track pretty well, aren't many places to have a major problem (walls very far from track, lots of grass between).

Sounds beautiful. I normally run at a track called Gingerman. Sheared a spindle im my Lambo 1 turn before a wall. 10 seconds later and I would have been looking at an easy $50k and this might be the safest track in the country.
Please tell us when you finally get behind the wheel on hot laps!
