Do you feather the clutch out or just drop it ?

The 60 foot time is remarkable for a 6MT with no LC

I was actually going to say the opposite . I could do 1.7s in my Eagle Talon that ran low 11s, figured a 9 second car would be doing 1.5s or better.

I suspect it's likely a soft launch to keep from breaking really expensive parts however, not a matter of that's the best that could be done. Talon trans and driveline parts are a lot cheaper than 996tt

Nice runs Markski and keep it up!

Trying to not break parts and playing with the set up. Yes 6speed and oem Ecu so it's not like a stand alone with 30 psi off the line. We pulled a 1.3 60 ft but the trans didn't hold up.
Only 1.7 bar as well. Trying to preserve the motor. If money was no object we would let it have it. But things break and it's expensive. Wonder why the 1/4 isn't as popular anymore. Most guys with high hp rather go top speed. I see cars with 1200 whp running high 10s. The easy way out for the 1/4 mile is a 997 with a built tiptronic and a stand alone. Sort of like a gtr - gas and go.

i will always run the 1/4. most times I'm the only porsche they ever see. and realistically even with standalone we don't come off the line with 30 psi more t like 7 psi on the 2 step. its the boost by gear that really gets it going

I can create 7 psi on a stock ecu... and with a tip I can do 18 psi... off the line... that's easy... have you checked some of the 1/4 cars lately? sure doesn't look like 7 psi to me.... not sure how proefi works... just saying...

proefi will make whatever you want it to make off the line, just need the driveline parts for it. otherwise need a shovel and a trashcan.
