Hey All,
So got my ID1400cc's today (thanks Silly Rabbit!) and they are a different style than that of the FIC's The tips on the IDs appear to protrude into the air intank path maybe...1/2 way? VS the FIC that looks standard (at least on the 996TT). Do the 997TT's come with the ID style of injector? What are the benefits of the extended tips? I'm sure they are on the more powerful for 997TT for a reason right? Just curious about this. Prodigymb was going to take some measurements of just how far they extend into the intake runner and advised that it's possible that fuel could pool on the intake wall, but I never saw another response on that thread. Any comments?
Edit: probably not 1/2 way...didn't account for the injector seat...1/4" into the intake.
My stock 997 tips were long also. I had the same surprise with my Cobb 1000cc injectors. I believe that the smaller channel needs a more direct focus (the tip Extension.)
Cool, so your Cobb injectors look the same then? I'm going to run them...just curious about why they have the extended tip. I'll have to do some more research. Thanks for replying. I see in your CO too!

I'm in Co and live in Westminster. Have recently installed the Cobb 1000cc injectors and they also looked the same. The tips of my stock injectors looked the same. I can measure them next Monday if you need the facts.
Was looking at E85 tune with Cobb at the same time. At our Altitude, I think it makes all the sense I was considering during my decision.
