Tiptronic leak, DIY repair, need mounts and transfer case gaskets
Looks like I waited a bit too late to check out my tiptronic transmission mounts. Tranny is currently peeing on the garage floor. I've checked prior posts about this issue and all signs point to failed trans mounts (verified) causing the transfer case to flex, causing the transfer case gasket to be spit out. I found what looks like a small piece of the gasket on the plastic bottom cover.
I wanted to verify that part #'s 7 and 9 are the gaskets I need.

I would rather get these from the local dealer, but they're quoting me 2-3 week lead time, and I need to get it back together before the PCA Bert Smith Poker Run on April 25th. Does anybody have a spare set they could "loan"me while I wait to get the dealer gaskets?
A friend tipped me off to some replacement polyurethane transmission mount inserts. Can anybody suggest a dealer (east coast or southern) closer to me to get these from?

Also, is there anything else that would be a good idea to replace while it's apart?

After much research, I am totally confused about what type of trans fluid change to do ( just fluid or change out filter also), what type of fluid to use and how much fluid is needed to do either fluid change. I'm at 55,000 miles. Fluid leaking out of the transfer case flange appears to be yellowish brown color.
Some suggest changing out the fluid only, especially if the car has been driven hard (which mine has) and only takes 4 L's, while others suggest doing a complete fluid flush and filter change which takes 9L's.
Dealer lists 000 043 304 01 fluid aka Fuchs Titan 3353 which is red/pink. BTW, I've found this several places online for a about $13/L.
Pelican fluid change thread suggests 000 043 207 00, but I think this may be incorrect for 996TT's.
Many P-Car and Merc threads say mixing fluids is a no-no. Suggestions?

If you go to fuch titans site, they actually recommend 4004 or 5000? or something like that....can't get a consistent answer
I personally am using redline D6 with OEM tranny filter. I know some people have recommended the D4.
I've been using the redline D6 and 4 separate cars(996T's and 957T) and all have not had an issue with upgraded turbos.

If you call Cantrell, they will tell you which of their dealers is closest to you.

Interesting as Porsche in the UK say the gaskets are not available and quote £10,000 thats ££££ not $$$$$ for a new trans

Note, their website shipping quote and check out feature didn't work, I just called them. I remember seeing a UK transmission parts site that also had these for sale but I didn't save it, sorry.

So.... how much fluid will it take to do a "fluid only" change including the R&R of the transfer case to replace the gaskets vs. a normal "fluid only" change. I just need to know how many liters to buy.

Typically you will need between 4-5 quarts to top off the fluid if you are simply replacing what came out when doing the transfer case gaskets. If you are going to pull the drain plug and let all the fluid out, you best plan on 9 quarts.

Another source for gaskets in EU:

Q: What are the other seals and o-rings for, part #'s?

What is this line, and is it OK to disconnect? I'm guessing it's a ATF fluid line to the transmission cooler.
