For those that have hand bad motor mounts, what did it feel like handling wise before you fixed the problem?

 

you'll feel it. ever so slight *slop*, esp on lateral ( side to side ) accel while and during shifting.

 

^^ throttle response is much quicker with new mounts. If you are replacing with semi-solid , they will transmit more noise into cabin. Big difference between OEM and semi-solid. I would have liked to try brand new OEM motor mounts to see what car would be like with all I've done vs the semi solid that I went to .
Every "performance" mod I've done added more cabin noise, first it was exhaust, then turbos, then LWFW/clutch , motor mounts, and now coil overs.
There are days that I miss the touring plush ride of my turbo

 

I changed my mounts and put the wevos in. The stock ones were still ok but cheesy. I could push the steal thingy sideways.
The wevos are great. A little more engine sound inside, but thats fine.

we be running wevos too. vastly improved and yes, sounds AND feels like it lol

no. 15 mins per side.

 

that's my next mod, motor mounts and suspension, i'm sure after 10 years+ it starts growing mushrooms in there.

 

support the trans and drop the trans mount and check it. if it shows any signs of cracking in the rubber bushing go to home depot and get a tube of window weld. fill the entire rubber area with the window weld and let it cure for 24 hrs. same as the 200$ mounts for 20$

 

^^ yeah, only to add that any car that likes to be "pushed" is gonna have all the rubber bits crumbling after 10+ years if they are original. t-mount, mm's, all of em
