Posted on issue on rennlist so for cross users apologize for repeated topic. I am just wanting to utilize both community's
Here's the problem went for a drive transmission was laggy and was having trouble up shifting. When I stepped on accelerator throttle response was slow and I was only boosting .1 to .2. Car normally boosts 1.2 at wot. Ran diagnostic and two codes popped up p1120 and p1122. Throttle body, seems to be the culprit and possible maf. Would either of these directly affect boost and send into limp mode. Currently has 31,000 miles on it and coils and plugs were changed at 22,000. Also car died when I put it in reverse to back out of driveway. Car is a tip.
P1120-Porsche Fault Code 117- Throttle plate. What and where is this?
P1122- Porsche Fault Code 431- Throttle potentiometer 2. What and where is this

Reading this again...seems to point to the TB. Interestingly enough a porsche 986 Boxster as long as it is without a throttle cable (I think Porsche refers to the electric as egas)
will fit.
I think I picked up my used throttle body for like 30 bucks...I figured that was cheap enough to try.
Also, like I said in the other thread...it caused mine to go into limp mode and when I pulled off the y pipe...it took a ton of force to push open the plate in the throttle body, then it would just hang open and slowly close. A good throttle body opens pretty easily and then snaps shut.

I haven't cleaned mine but on all others I've cleaned yes just prop open plate and use carb cleaner, wipe with clean rag. There is usually a build up causing plate to not move/shut freely. Taking it off may allow for better cleaning? I would guess its bad hope I'm wrong.
once the intake stuff in front of the tb is removed you can certainly "wipe it down" but to truly "clean" it it should be removed. dont forget ( simple as it it is.. ) the tb reset to re-claibrate the TB! just reconnect everything and turn on the ignition on, but dont start the car, wait until you her the TB reset itself. you'll know the sound once you hear it. turn it off, then start as usual. good luck.
