I love these wheels...https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...s-996-gt2.html

However, now that I am running bronze...I find the "silver" a bit dull, nothing a powder coat couldn't tackle.

Wheel Recommendations for 9 X 18 and 12 X 18

I run the CCW C14s in that size 9" 12" John had them shot peened for extra strength for the track, I also run them in a 11" F 13" R on my race car same wheel and shot peened surface running full Pirelli slicks, never a problem. The service from them is top notch, and for what they are a great price.

I've been through tons of wheels and all have been tracked heavily. I have also had 4 different set of 18x9x12 CCWs and sold numerous other to customers. They are excellent wheels (and John at CCW is a great guy with superb service) but come with one minor drawback that you want to keep in mind when used on a high torque car. It is very difficult to keep tires from not moving on the rim if you track your car with sticky R- compound tires. More of an annoyance than anything else. Every set I've had, whether powder coated, anodized and shot peened have resulted in tires constantly creeping around the rim under hard braking and hard acceleration with sticky tires (usually about 2" or so per session). I have dry mounted them, scuffed up the wheel beed with 40 grit paper, used hair spray, and even resorted to 3M spray adhesive. Using 3M has helped but they still moved a little eventually throwing the wheel assembly out of balance. Any type of vibration drives me crazy but may not be a big deal to others. I would end up having to flip the wheel left to right every 4 session or so to creep them back in balance. A friend of mine with CCWs on his 7GT3 ended up painting the wheel bead with paint that had fine grit sand mixed and and that did the trick for him but cost him a few hundred to get it done. This is a common problem that many guys have had if you do a search on Rennlist.

Couple of year ago I switched to Finspeed forged wheels with their beed knurl option which totally eliminates the problem by locking the tire bead to the wheel. This is the same technology that us used on the OEM Nissan GTR wheels and it works like a charm. The Finspeeds are amazingly light, strong, and built to your specs. Price is comparable to CCW, maybe $700-$1000 more depending on options of which there are plenty. I have several sets and they are the best wheels I've ever owned. Below are Finspeed F11s in Magnesium 18x9ET47 and 18x12ET40. Something to consider...

I have a perfect set of GMG World Challenge wheels I'll be happy to sell you, from my GT2. They are 18 X 9 and 18 X 12. I have a couple threads floating around here about them, with pictures. They are in perfect condition. I hardly drove them at all, and never on the track.

No worries my friend. Just trying to same you some aggravation. That was actually my reason from moving away from CCWs. Just got fed up with having to flip the wheels on the car to keep things in balance. It's a distant memory now...

This is a man with great knowledge. Always a good source of info from you pwrdrhound. Same thing here. RT and beed knurl option on these F14, same sizing as yours. Finished in gunmetal brushed finish. Good thing is, these wheels can fit 380mm rotors on 18". I didnt know Finspeed can do magnesium option. Btw what rear deck do you have? It looks very aggressive.

the OZ allegerita is quite the opposite and i can highly recommend them in a perfect gt2 fitment, all while accepting oem LUGS DUH.. lol

What is this ring you speak of? I've never heard of that
