Ontario is very easy, just have your tuner turn-off the systems you don't want, such as catalysts...2+ 'not ready's' will fail you(you are allowed 1), but 'not applicable' doesn't....

Here in Ontario Canada the smog test is done through the OBDII port and mine passed without issue. Part of it passing is making sure you drive your car a significant distance and various conditions before the test. If it tests "Not Ready" you fail the smog test.

I wonder if in IL they do exhaust inspection/smog test - last time i visited the place was 3 years ago, maybe something changed.

update: we have to have all the monitors ready and no CEL, so yeah. should be easy.lol Thing is i dont drive my car at all now, just ones a week i take the car out for a spin.

Here's my DriveClean with the bungs installed, not sure if it helps but thought I'd post it anyway:

i believe we need to put about 50-60 miles on the car. 5-6 start/shutdown engine, before all codes are ready?... if you reset CE light?.,.

Yes, and I was told to also run it with and without the AC on, defroster on/off etc after resetting the CEL.

they will work----the one I bought held much better than the on i've tested before, just enough to pass, put 60 miles in total, 5-6 cycles, my exhaust is gutted

but what i was thinking what about if you install spacers before cats as well. i know it makes no sense but who knows.

Spacer before cat...Hummm.... Ok let me admit a big mistake I've made....I am on these forums since over 7 years and lately I've made a fool of myself....Since tune and new exhaust, I got codes I've never had before, all related to O2 sensors before and after cat... I was ask to install a pair of spacer, so I did but I did it on pre cet sensors??? I always thought the after cat sensor were there only for the cat efficiency ....So I install the spacers on the pre cat sensors. Went for a ride, car was running rough, got a code immediately (P1145), contacted the tuner and OMG the tuner was not happy at all about me .... He told me I was lucky if my engine was not damaged.....I did many miles since and the engine run perfectly but even after all the O2 sensors replaced and also the MAF I still got the faults... I will try the extender on the after cat next week but the ones I got are too long and the sensor wires are touching on the structure...Need angle ones or shorter ones.....

the angled ones are most likely to work as they are further from the exhaust stream..and yes to post cat!

No no no to precat. Those are the ones that monitor your air/fuel trim. The rear ones monitor your emissions.
