I bought a stock 996 turbo auto. Seems like it goes pretty good. Anybody know how it would do against a c6z06 corvette. I can get 1 bar on the boost gauge to take off on and i clocked it at 4.2 sec o to 60mph. Also would a tune give it enough to beat a 997 turbo stock.

Get an ecu flash there, as far as a zo6 I havnt met a "stock" one I couldn't beat.

I assume you mean with a tune?

Even a 996TT (K16s) with a tune will have a really hard time with a properly driven C6 Z06. They run low 11s and trap around 125mph.

all depends, if you just got your car, rule #1 check for any boost leaks , exhaust, tune, go from there -

you start with fresh plugs and boost leak tests...
then you choose someone your comfortable as far as tuning and go from there..
tips are good off the line because some of us can write in a rpm limiter with brake boosting off the line.. car boogies... my australian client ran a 11.1 seconds on k16 billets and other supporting mods on a Tip... thats pretty quick...
