Certify a private party car?

I've been asking a lot of questions lately!

Does anyone if there is a way to certify a private party sale? Cost?

you want it to become a Porsche certifed used car correct? I believe the only way to do this is allow the dealer to run it through all the checkpoints, make repairs where necessary, and pay them the certification fee. There may be other places that certify used cars, but the only one that holds it's value is a certfication coming from an authorized Porsche dealer.

very possible i did it with my tt

find a car, talkt o your local dealer... have them buy the car,pay for certification and the aprts needed to certify them. then buy the car from them, this will be a prosche certified CPO car.. the ctach is they will probably have to make about 2-2k over whatever u bought the car and u mighthave to get financing through them..

WELL IT really depends on your dealer if they will do it for less
to certify the car u will spend about 1500 plus parts. then they tack in another 2k(as profit /doing this for you) it depends on your dealer

i heard from people they only paid 500.00 plus the certification..

yup...u go to the right dealer and there shouldnt be a need to "sell" the car to them and then buy it right back. cut to the chase and pay only for the cert, they make good money on that. sounds like the dealer squezzed you good Joe

the dealer bought the car from the private seller i found, then sold the car to me (or lease the car to me). they inspected the car and sold the car to me as a certifed vehicle. i belive the price was about 4k.
