I did the clutch my self, but my transmission went off for a rebuild, and fitment of os giken LSD, so im not sure if they would have removed the spline axle cover or not?? But i will for sure be adding some loctite to those buggers when i put them back in.

i would be a bit worried about compromising the pressure plate. thats a lot of metal that was removed and they are under tremendous pressure. for me i would have to replace it and have the peace of mind. glad to see you found the issue. yes the screws would be removed for a rebuild so i would be talking to the shop about footing the bill for a new p/p and then you install it. worth a try your pics pretty much tell the tale

I have purchased a brand new tripple carbon clutch yesterday as i feared the worst so wont be using it, but its a shame as the rest of the kit is fine, and although quite a bit of material has been removed, i think it would stand up ok

erp? last clutch you will ever buy and engagement is awesome. love mine. would still go after a new p/p from the shop. you can then post it for sale with the other parts recoup some of your money and know it is sold with no issues

Yes thats correct, cant wait to get it i have heard great things about it. Do you know if just a spec stage 3+ pressure plate can be purchased on its own? It looks like a standard oem sach pressure plate, it had a spec sticker on it, but when i removed it it showed sach. I had a custom made flywheel made for me also so can at least get something back on that.

i would get in touch with sambott on here or maybe kevin from rennlist. they know quite a lot about sachs clutches and way more knowledge than me as to what would fit or not. i don't see why you couldn't contact spec for a p/p. if it were me i would pressure the rebuild shop to pony up for a new p/p.

It is way out of balance now, I would strongly suggest replacing.
