Question on value if I decided to sell?

I believe that car is worth more than anyone here has suggested. Put it up for $60k and see what happens. The right buyer should be willing to pay $55k for that car.

I think you would be making a mistake to sell it under the circumstances. That is a beautiful car, especially in such pristine condition and low mileage. "Financial sense" is not a valid argument when you are talking about sports cars. It's about the pleasure of owning and driving it. If you want to make financial sense, buy a Camry. If the Porsche doesn't mean that much to you, sell it. My wife was mad at me when I bought mine, but now she gets it. She sees how much pleasure it gives me, and has learned to appreciate it for that if nothing else. I also catch her enjoying the attention the cars draws.

Swap to stock wheels/tires and see if she feels the same about the ride quality. Looks like you have 25-section rear tires on that car (as do I) and that could change her mind.

If the car is to small to take to work thats one thing, however, image to clients or staff is pretty silly, its not a Bugatti but to each there own i guess

It's an unfortunate way of the world that we judge others based on many extraneous things including what car one drives. I knew a lawyer that bought a Lexus LS instead of the Mercedes S Class because he was worried about appearances. I agree that it's stupid, but unfortunately it's sometimes necessary to culture a certain image.

More importantly, I want to know where there are condos available for the "mid $100s" HaHa
Beautiful car, BTW, you will regret letting it go, KH

Seems totally reasonable to me. Clients want you to be successful, just not too successful, especially if they can make a connection between you living large and the fees you are charging them.

Also - maybe that lawyer is smart because the Lexus is a better value and vastly more reliable on every single survey, along with having a much better depreciation curve than the Benz. Driving a Lexus LS isn't exactly slumming it.

I was talking about values with my indy the other day and 48-52 seems to be a good range. I am going to list my '02 due to some circumstances and life changes ahead. I'm okay with it. So where would you list your car for sale if you were going to sell?

A lot of people selling lately and if you watch the for sale ads quite a few owners have had theirs only a year or so.

Lol, totally agree. I wouldn't have understood that if I didn't have a kid. Guess that means we're getting old

At this point I have no intention of selling her. I love the car and just was kicking out the idea if it seemed feasible due to the lack of driving her. And I do work in an industry where I cannot drive this type of car due to the misconception of the clients I have so it does limit my ability to drive it.
