help with turbo pricing.......
Hi all,
I went to my Porsche dealer yesterday to pick up my service book and suddenly felt a uncontrolling urge to upgrade to a turbo. I just bought my 02' C4S 2 months ago with 21,000 miles. I've only driven it 4 times. He has a 2003 artic silver with 18,000 miles. It has full carbon interior and he wants $100,000. He's will to give me $63,000 for my C4S. What do you guys think? does this sound like a good deal?

You should plan for a purchase rather than fall into the dealers trap of buying on impulse.Take your time and enjoy your car. If you still feel the same, plan your exit/ purchase
In order for this to work, you must avoid this dealer/car at all cost! These cars do have strong temptations.....

The number on your C4S isnt that bad considering 21k on it, the Turbo in this market should be cheaper since it has 18k on it, press him for a bigger discount on it or more on yours, he has to tighten that gap up a little more for you.

Don't do it. You've only driven your car 4 times in 2 months and want to spend an extra 30-40K? I doubt the turbo will make you drive any more as the C4S is an excellent car. Of course, if you have the $ to blow and just want one, then do it and don't haggle much. tell them for a 30 spread you'll take it otherwise don't look back.
I just bought a TT from my 2nd C2. I will back up what they're saying. I'd enjoy your car first.
I drove a C2 for 4 years before getting a TT. One of my goals was to be able to almost 'outdrive' my C2 on the track. I got to that point on stock setup, so from there it was either modify the C2 for the track or go Turbo. Well, I went Turbo and am so thrilled.
So... enjoy your car first. You're gonna take a huge hit on it, so you might as well get your money's worth first.
As for the price on the TT, you can do better. I got my '02 w/ only 2k miles for very near 100k (this was w/ a lot of negotiating and w/ a sales rep I've purchased 2 996's from already)
