Just raced a Gallardo....

I know the Lambo, it was rented and pretty beat up. I know because I rented it in July and beat the hell out of it. Anyway, we went from about 30 to 135ish. I had myself and 400+ pounds of two other passengers(the bigger of the two in the back!!!), he had one other passenger. Three beeps and we go, We were dead even on the jump and then I started to pull on him. He kept up pretty well though. All said and done I had him by about 5 car lengths or so. It was a fun ride. I am sure a Gallardo that hasn't been beat to hell would do better. We were pissed we didn't have a video camera, not even a cell phone camera.

Actually, wouldn't the Gallardo do better since it was really broken in and beat up on?

Next time get your friends out of your car and go at it straight up..and come back and let us know what happens..

Yes, they got the car at Gotham.

Since there was no video a couple of my employees wanted to come along. I would have done better if there wasn't so much weight but it was all in fun. I still beat it pretty badly and was gaining more and more the faster we went. I was happy with the outcome.........

It was just fun between some friends to see what the outcome would be. The Gallardo has a Tubi exhaust also, not that it would do much.

Griffin, glad to hear you used your exotic rental last summer to the fullest. I feel compelled to set the record straight though. I've been lucky enough to be in all our cars, and can tell you there's nothing, "beat up" about them, particuarly the Gallardo. All the cars in the fleet are carefully monitored for cosmetics. Considering they have had more than one driver, I think, their appeance is on par with many exotics that have had just one owner. We do whatever is humanly possible to keep the cars up. I assure you, every engine is well maintained, and fully capable of delivering peek performance.

Definately glad to hear you came out ahead, though!

How do you fit 200lbs+ person on the backseat?

Power-to-Weight ratio, then you're running stock, no?

I was only saying that because so many people rent them and I am sure nobody takes it easy. You guys have a great operation going and I now that Noah takes care of all the cars. I did not mean in anyway that the cars or the Gallardo is a POS, just that I am sure people beat the hell out of them. It obviously is still running strong!!!!

My buddy is 6'2 and weighs about 235. He had his *** in one seat and his feet behind my seat. He is such a car fanatic that he would of strapped himself to the roof if he had to to witness the race. His brother was in the passenger seat and his about 6' 185ish. I didn't care about all the weight in the car, how often do you get the chance to race a Ruf and a Gallardo?
