GT2 compared to other supercars
GT2 compared to other supercars
I realise this topic has seen it's fair share of discussion, but as a relatively new Porsche ethusiast i really know nothing about the GT2.
During a lunch i had, i kept hearing the GT2 referred to as a Grand Tourer and that the 360CS and GT3 RS were both better track cars and not far behind in performance.
Surely, that's not the case, i was always under the impression that it was a pure bred for the tracks. Or have i been living under a cave?

Well, here's the problem i had lunch with a few friends who happen to be F-car owners and one of the guys own a prestige car dealer here in Sydney. The mate who owned a 360, i knew he would be biast but the dealer i thought would at least know his schtick. Perhaps not.
Oh, i was trying to decide on which metaphor to use, must have made a subconcious compromise

In terms of track orientation, the GT3RS is probably the most hardcore offering from Porsche. That said, the GT2 is the car Porsche made for the folks who think the 996TT is a soft, mushy grand tourer. More power (most GT2's are putting out around 500hp), lighter, 2-wheel drive, no driver aids other than ABS, and a more aggressive suspension.
It'll hold its own against pretty much anything.
