Suspension creak/noise
I believe it is front left and I have tried the section at a time to spray with WD-40 and it hasn't helped at all this time. I was at a half mile race and someone had a 997 turbo making the same noise. It was worse in his car that he could turn the wheels in the moment anything happen with the front suspension moving his car would Creek loudly.
my issue is strangely similar but i haven't ( wont ) spray any wd40.. you might wanna think about some silicone based spray!? either way, i feel your pain, as mine are starting that damn "creakin" again too.
I'm having the same creaking noise. The LCA's, tie rod ends and swaybar end links have all been replaced (upgrading). I lubed the swaybar bushings last night and it's still there. In my case it seems like the top shock mounts are the last thing that could be causing the issue. I have PSS10 coil-overs, so not sure it that will make any difference.
My concern is the people on this thread that have replaced the top mount and still have the issue.

rmc1148,
I have no idea what was done when the coil-overs were installed. I believe the coil-overs were installed at 35,000-40,000 miles, so the upper mount could be original or replaced. The car currently has 75,000 miles on it. I could actually be the bump stops making the sound, but it doesn't have to be a big bump to make the sound.
MadWhip,
Definitely not a clunk. More like a creak/moan.

I haven't read this entire thread but my experience has shown suspension bushing that are not properly lubed and installed will squeak! If that hasn't been addressed it might be a waste of time chasing the struts and other bits..
Any updates? Mine started creaking a slow speeds on the drivers front side. I can replicate it by pushing down and slightly bouncing the front fender. I also noticed going very slowly into my garage that with each creak the front end rises with each creak. I'm going to throw it up on the lift this weekend and have a look.
I do have an update. As you will see above we had replaced almost every component (shocks, upper thrust bearing, upper mounts) in December. The lower control arms were replaced earlier in the fall. European Performance finally resolved my issue when they identified that the ball joints in the Elephant Racing lower control arms had failed. It was very hard to find as the noise resonates through the system but elephant Racing replaced the ball joints under warranty. The car is now quiet. I am going to Sebring in the morning so I'll see if the new ones hold up, short term.
Another issue was that one of my rebuilt K24 turbos was splitting apart after breaking all the bolts except one. Lucky that we found it in time to bolt it back together.

I'm happy to report that my noise was coming from the front upper strut mounts (camber plates).
Here's the journey I went through for the repair.

) this after maybe 5k miles since replacing them fully? i have no source to speculate other than perhaps a lowered can contribute to the rubber in the mount to fail ( crack/crumble..whatever? ) more quickly?!?but i did change them again! and wouldn't ya know it, ( for now anyway..)
no more front strut bearing mounts creaks! yay. i did NOT r&r the bearing backing plates again. i thought it too be overkill..but then i also didn't suspect the mounts but given where the noise emanated from and that my suspension is primarily all "porsche" parts ( aside from the springs! ) i figured i'd throw some parts at it and cross fingers and pray ( figured since i was on my knees anyway! lol ) and etc lol.
some combo of all worked, i'm happy to report, but for how long!? is the burning $64K question.
GL w it. you *might* wanna re-check your top mounts ( again ) as i did! good luck. it's annoying as he**, that squeaking noise.
EDIT DOH! just read you sourced and repaired it. missed that part! congrats ( doh )

'02996ttx50,
Notice in my link that I replaced the rubber camber plate bushing with a monoball cartridge. I think it will be way more reliable than the stock bushing.

"reliable" no doubt! longer lasting all, by virtue of the materials used! i tried ( boy, did i "try" ) to install the 996turbo tarret plates and had all manner of difficulty, so after several beer car strewn sessions of frustration i simply replaced with all new oem plates and all connecting bits. i have read somewhere recently that tarret has made their instructions a bit more easily understood, but don't quote me on that, i have not seen them. that has been the ONE unresolved part that did not "plug and play" as promised and my tech only has 20 years experience so i don't know where to cast blame for this hassle i endured, but it matters not. i have moved on and so what is rubber instead of "metal"/mono's making/absorbing the contact with the oem top mounts. that stands to reason. all i ever sought was the additional fews mm's of additional camber that the aftermarket monoball plates afford us once "properly installed'?. can i "ultimately" tell the difference smashing up/down hills all day? remaining with oem pieces installed? probably not.
