took it off about 6 years ago to install B&M shifter , it was a ***** then but seems even worse not . no set screw has a rubber o ring as i remember , has to be an eazy way to remove HELP !!

 

open the sunroof and pull like a beast!! thats how i had to get mine off

 

Mine came off with just a good pull. Wasn't really hard at all. Didn't even need both hands to pull it off.

 

Just make sure there is no small hidden Allen screw holding it in place. Then, like 32 said - open the sunroof, stand on both seats, and pull like a mother. Be careful of your aim when it finally comes off or your voice will go up a few octaves.

 

Mine has a set screw then it slides off with zero effort.

 

Lift the shift boot all the way up and the set screw is underneath, facing the front of the car.

 

thanks guys but have had mine off and there is no set screw on this year .... thinking about useing a come along with sun roof open ..

 

hey got it just a long slow pull did it not as hard as last time , ssk will be here fri and then the fun begins

 

Mine is CF with the screw.. once loosened it slides right off with no effort needed.
