what annoys you most about your 911 turbo ?
OH BOY! DO I HAVE THOUGHTS ON THIS MODEL
having been on both sides of the steering wheel on 911's in particular; I believe my concepts of the Turbo are very suggestive of what could be a better mousetrap. That said, there is one better/though expensive alternative-GT2!. Now THAT'S a GOOD DOG!
The Turbo could have been offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive with a real limited slip diff, so guys could go D.E'ing without burning up their BigCrappyCruddyBrake systems. There does not seem to be any reasonable conclusion to why they chose the GT2 platform in such an expensive upgrade only to DELETE 4 wheel drive and EXPERIMENT with our heads on the brake problems attached to that model.
I was employed by this company and today's marketing people are marginalizing their sales capacity for the Turbo by NOT offering it in both 2 and 4 wheel/with or without traction control. Their not realizing the potential for a more viceral car WITHOUT increasing it's price by the order of two! Everyone wants better (louder) exhausts, hence so many people "hawking" mufflers that (arguably) are not better than OEM units. WHY can the GT2 be outfitted with wider wheels in the rear and NOT the Turbo?
Anyway, I would be surprised if the factory tries to put together a GT2 for the 997 Turbo.
OK- traction control, pccb's, weight,, "girlyboy" accessories-HATE THEM!! Ahh-feel better already, must be the turkey kicking in

Knowing that 'if ' I ever tracked these once almighty PCCBs
on my GT2, I will possibly have to dish out some extra $ to replace them when they start deteriorating on me.
For me, it's the over-assisted, light clutch that comes to mind. No feel... Makes it difficult to launch the car smoothly and the 1-2 shift often gets jerky. With the B&M short shifter I find it very difficult to be smooth...
Something that may annoy present owners is the depreciation rate of the 996 TT. There is a 01 with 30k miles advertised in my area for 60k. There is also someone advertising on this board...his is an 01 with aprox 30k miles for 63k. Who knows, when the 997 TT's come out it may dip in the 50's for one that is in decent condition.
I agree with many posts. Also, I believe the engine sound could have been a lot more interesting. The high pitch "boxster" like sound is nice in the boxster but underwhelming in a 911TT
