COBB owners with MAF-less tunes. Who did your tune?
In the ATR there is an option to scale the map sensor. So yes technically in the 996 it can be done. However, I do not know anyone that has.
I run a 4 bar sensor. Mafless as well. No COBB though.
I'm a few weeks into my Sambo/Cobb MAFless tune. My car is basically stock w/ Kline 200 cell exhaust and billet diverters, fresh plugs, coils, fuel filter.
It runs really well, there are zero driveability issues with this MAFless tune, zero check engine lights and no more ABS/PSM failures. I'm seeing a solid 1.0 bar (sometimes 1.1) and the logs are good. I run around the NorCal canyons and coastal roads, and the boost comes on fast and the car just squirts out of the corner. I couldn't be happier.
And interestingly enough, at idle, it's the smoothest that it's ever been in my 1 year of ownership.
2 thumbs up for Sam's MAFless tune!

Where are your filters?
I'm tuned on cobb and also Mafless. Mitch from Cobb helped out on my tune as well as Corbin from Johnson Tuning (out of Indy).
I love my setup now, and couldn't be happier. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to hit me up and i'll do my best to answer them. Cheers!

Since my car is mostly stock, I'm using the stock airbox and intake plumbing. MAF still in place..just unplugged.
Proper mafless is good in the sense that you have options with your intake but that's not the end of it. You get better throttle response, can tune further and more. This can be argued by many that is fine. There are many opinions out there. The few tuners who can do proper mafless do it with great results. Others use other air for meter solutions which is another option. The simplest but maybe best reason is that you no longer have to deal with limitations and issues of these meters and their constant failures on modified cars.
