LED Tail Light 6 month product review
haha, 'fraid not. but they sure look dope! just ask steve
seriously though. would love to know of us early adopters of them, whats the percentage of them having had a few fail?? i bet it's higher than it should be and i cant even imagine what might be an "acceptable" range of failure!?
all i know is I'm outa warranty any minute and i paid 900 fkn dollars for em so i'd sure like them to consistently EMIT some FREAKIN LIGHT! ya damn DIODE(s)!

led lights should be supplied with pulsating current
No, for me - 3 red vertical just left of the turn signal. Hardly noticeable, but they are there if you are looking.
Yes, I've seen the weirdness with the refresh rate videotaping LED lights on some cars but not all. Cycling them fast will keep them cooler and can be used when overdriving the lights. I don't believe it's a general requirement to power LED.
^ actually i think they're "taiwanese"?? all i know is they are poorly made, and that's just a guess..
.. but as you know, if we took away EVERYTHING made in china, we be without clothing, cooking over open fires, and listening to philco radios.

It's the camera, not the lights. Stand behind the car while someone presses the brake - no pulses.
It's both. It happens when the refresh rates of the camera and the lights don't sync up.
Anyway, TL:DR it's not just a camera thing the lights may be pulsed but I don't think it's a requirement of the technology. It should help longevity to do it though by lowering heat if you're overdriving them. Hopefully these lights aren't overdriving the LED...
The 3 LEDs that burned out for me were all the yellow turn signal LEDs so they are only on intermittently and briefly. However, other owners had the running LEDs burn out. So there seems to be a very basic problem. I am wondering if the moisture issue is degrading the contacts? I raised this issue as a potential problem last spring when the moisture problem was first discovered and discussed. If this is the case then perhaps the contacts need to be sealed with a rubberized coating.
