He didnt know neither i did honeslty i just had a bad n75 code which i fixed then after he sent the map already , I was testing the old map it suppose to be 1.2 steady turned out its ateady at 1 bar so i knew something is up so , Finally when his tune worked on the 3rd laptop i didnt have time to fix any issues then i told him i wont make a log for u now to fine tune it , Ill fix the problems first and log for u to fine tune it ...

Car is steady ar 1 bar only should be 1.1 or 1.2 tops and is crazy fast compared to the previous tunes i had...

@tony@epl?! thats weird. there must be some backstory?! i thought they were sponsors. just a head scratcher. no biggie but the guy sure seemed helpful for as long as I've been hangin around..

@'02996ttx50 honeslty after almost a month he worked with me and sent me a map and its great but since then didnt bother looking at my log or sending me tweaks for it and am sure it wont be that good and still has alot left in it, i am not complaint abt the map its amazing but this guy dissapears and i will not wait anothet 30days for a tune update..
I switched to another tuner and thats history.. when he loses all of his customers he will wake up.

 

i "hear" you completely. communication is the second most important thing to ANY tune, since right after install! then come the "after install" questions/tweaking etc!!

so i understand your frustration! me, i would never buy something as important as a "tune" from someone i couldn't "reach" ( within reason! ) as i needed to..

that's why it will be COBB and sambo for me. but again, good luck! it's just weird to see EPL "banned". banned is pretty serious, since after all.. it's just a web forum! who knows though...there's always a back story

Sambo and Marksi are definitely tops when it comes to responsiveness and helping people out with nothing at stake. Im up in the air but will probably go with Sam because of the Cobb.

 

Agree with COBB/Sam/PTF and Markski as tuning options! Wondering what happened that he got banned.

^ right!? weird(est) thing.. seemingly? perhaps a mod will jump in and explain, or perhaps its too "political" to get into and actually none of "our" collective business.

 

If not for the public's eye, I'd at least like a PM from a mod about it...Tony was always great to me, and I'd miss the tuning knowledge here...

 

Even I don't know why Tony was banned...there was a thread that was critical of Tony that he reported and wanted removed...(it might have been this one but IIRC it was regarding a smog issue)...I didn't see any justification for removing the thread and asked internet brands to contact Tony regarding the issue....he may have decided he no longer wished to sponsor the forum and was banned by IB advertising...that's all I know....Tony was always upfront and helpful to members as far as I could tell
