I agree. Total overkill. One thing I have noticed is the Europeans love Flash and programming in PHP.

Yeah the Recaro seats are sharp looking I agree.

Bajo
Britax roundabout...to be exact.

Save yourself the $$$... get the britax and then get the airbag deactivation kit from Gert at Carnewal.

that seat is now on sale for $199, see link i posted above.

I got mine when they first came out about 1 year ago and they were closing our the prior one for $259 - but $199 close out is a great buy! Think I will get one for my daughter.

Thanks for the link Mooty.

Correct. Never seat a child in a front seat with an airbag activated. Rear is ok. My question is whether side airbags are OK with a child in the back seat.

???

No. But it's other cars that have them (my wife's Mercedes, for example) that raise my concerns.

Not sure, but the safest spot in the car is the rear middle seat (if there is one).

This is very true. I'm an engineer at Britax now for three months (so I'm still learning a lot about child safety). We also recommend to keep them rear facing until two years old. Most people switch kids to forward facing at 1 year but their necks just aren't strong enough yet.

The Britax Boulevard is the one I'm using (I'm Porscheless right now so I'm not sure how well it fits). The Boulevard is our top of the line convertible and it has great side impact protection.

Roundabout and Marathon are great seats too. Target and Baby's R Us are where you'll find them.
