Exhaust Note

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. After listening to a variety of modded turbos and Ferraris, my exhaust sounds a little bland. Any suggestions who makes the most exotic sounding pipes? I don't want real loud exhaust, but something more exciting.

Thx,

tw

Most asked question!!!!

Gotta do your own homework as each individuals tase is VERY and you have to live with the sound. Turbo cars sound very different from NA cars and also on different makes.

Just what I do and be a pest and hang around your local tuner and ask politely if they will startup whatever that is sitting there and listen to it.

Spidey is right...it seems a most personal decision. I will tell you that I love my Europipe Stage 2 Quiets. My favorite mod.

I like the EP Stage II Quiet or the AWE one since neither resonate If weight isn't an issue the EPII is great but I gots to shed pounds for performance!

todd, this is your business partner. I see that your mind must be drifting off your work. I am sorry I showed you that europipe website that has now made you so unsatsified with your mundane sounding pipes. The real problem with you modifing your exhaust is that my wife will be mad at me because your turbo can't be louder than yours

My fav's are Europipe and PSI. I have the EPII Loud, which is slightly obnoxious (as I'm told by my neighbors). PSI is just as obnox, if not worse, but both sound fantastic. I hear that EPII Quiet is a nice in-between.

EP2 quiet sounds great on my tip coupe with no drone. I have heard that the PSI quiet is no louder but a bit more exotic. It probably weighs less also. I have no complaints though.

Thanks everyone,
I appreciate the input. I see my partner is keeping an eye on me. I'm going to keep listening for awhile. Do these exhaust mod's really add 30-50 HP? I'd love my X50 to be pushing 500!

Forget about 500. If you already have an X50, we can easily get you to 600!

Exhaust
GIAC/AWE X50 K24 Chip
Air Filter
Diverter valves

BAM! 600hp.

Call me if you would like further info.

Done that and love it - but I have to say that the AWE exhaust sounds significantly better than my Cargraphic. Has a deeper tone under acceleration and significantly less resonance.
