Remove A/C

Has anyone removed the A/C from their TT or GT2 to save weight?

I don't think that is the greatest idea for a street car. I think it would only be a good idea for a strictly racing vehicle.

Just saw that you live in SoCal...that would be hell w/o AC.

For the last 4 years I have only used my AC a hand full of times. Windows down work fine for me.

The weight savings would be minimal unless you were planning on removing A LOT out of your car. I'd focus on going to CF door skins and fenders, removing the interior door panels, etc first.

Just my 2 cents though.
