Does anyone offer any upgrades for the 996 Turbo Tiptronic Tranny. I wish it would shift faster and firmer. Anyone swap solenoids on the conductor plate? Any modifications to valve body available? What about software on the trans controller?

 

Do you ever get out with any other 996TT owners locally? Come on out with us and I'll give you the bad news over a beer, We are going to Bone Daddy's Willowbrook tonight.

Let me know if you upgrade the valvebody or Torque convertor. I was speaking with IPT and am strongly considering the TC swap based on other turbo cars I've owned

its a mercedes trans. call paramount performance or southern hot rods. they do 1000 transmissions al day long

 

Mine was built by Rennhaus in Florida thru VIVID. I can't say yet how it will hold up, but is supposed to be good to 1000hp. We shall see ;0)

 

I had mine built by IPT. Car shifts feel firmer. I dont recommend a high stall tq converter for smaller turbos. Power comes on way to quick and you do nothing but 4 wheel burnouts.
