I think in just gonna swap the 6 speed into the white one and the tip into the black one and then sell the white one as a bone stock 6 speed car.

Its a hard decision. But I'm hoping a 6 speed white 02 turbo should be an easy sell.

Not sure you will be money ahead. A swapped transmission IS NOT bone stock. In fact the swap will most likely devalue both cars.

The swap will be 100% as the factory would have done using all factory parts from the donor car and nobody would ever be able to tell unless the attain a factory build sheet. Does anyone know for a fact there car is an original manual or auto unless you bought it new and have a window sticker??? Probably not...

Not questioning the quality of the mechanical work.

The issue as I see it is that you are trying to expand the market for your cars by swapping transmissions when in my opinion you are shrinking your pool of buyers by a substantial margin in doing so.

Many of the buyers of bone stock cars are knowledgeable buyers. They research the VIN numbers and compare these to the build sheets (available online) and the frunk/owners manual options stickers (they come with a no stories car) to see what they are SUPPOSED to be buying. Any mis-match is a red flag to these buyers. It goes from a no stories car to a 'comes with stories' car.

It's much like the numbers matching obsession in the corvette world. If the numbers do not match, they walk.

If it was me, I'd do a vinyl wrap to change the color as it's far less than a trans swap - and it's reversible. YMMV

I'd never buy a car that was swapped from Tip to 6 speed and I'd be really pissed if you sold it to me hoping I would never figure that little point out.

May I ask for what reason? These aren't 69 z28 numbers matching camaro's. Lol

I guess I am a little different, if I want a six speed and the car has one, I would buy it if the car passes my visual inspection. Same with an automatic. Lol

Anybody interested in trading a black on black six speed car for a tip Tronic?? I guess that's another option I could use.

Actually, that might be a good idea I should put a post up!!

I would buy based on quality of conversion...great time to do GT2 clutch conversion....
My dad has a black/black Tip and would prefer a 6spd, but the boarder/trade probably wouldn't make sense..
White is an awesome colour...
Cheers,

You would not find a better more factory install, I will be taking both cars side by side and swapping each and every part necessary just as it came from the factory. I already did a factory GT2 clutch slave install on it. Now I just need to choose a stock clutch and sell my ERP triple disc setup.

I even tossed up selling both an buying a tip but I cannot sell the black car unless I have the other car in my shop first to swap all my mods. All the suspension, brakes, and Techart kit.

To answer your main question, any 6 speed is more desirable than any Tip on the market. Yes there are people looking for Tip 911 Turbo's but those people are really not easy to find. If I were you I would just sell both and find the exact car you are looking for.
