i'm not getting it. You have a white tip and black 6speed but you want to keep the tip yet the 6speed is heavily modded right?
Why don't you move the 6speed mods over to the tip and sell the black 6 speed?

Lol, that would make sense right, but the white 02 has brown interior, and the black 01 has black interior. I want to keep black interior.

Unless someone else would want to trade their TipTronic trans setup for my 6 speed, I may still just swap them over between eachother.

I'm still deciding...

Thanks for the input guys!

Personally, I agree with this. The guys that are willing to pay the higher price for these cars tend to do their homework. My first stage when researching a purchase like this is paperwork (vin check, service records, etc...). It wouldn't take much to figure out the car was built tip & now stick or other way around. Sadly, car(s) would instantly be off the table for me.

It sounds like you have two solid cars there. My vote: Decide which one you want to keep and let the other stand on it's own merit. I don't think you will have a problem selling either pretty quickly right now! There seems to be a strong interest in them at the moment

Oh, and just wanted to add. I think these cars look amazing in white BUT I am partial to black/black...I do feel your pain!

The issue as I see it is that you are trying to expand the market for your cars by swapping transmissions when in my opinion you are shrinking your pool of buyers by a substantial margin in doing so.

Many of the buyers of bone stock cars are knowledgeable buyers. They research the VIN numbers and compare these to the build sheets (available online) and the frunk/owners manual options stickers (they come with a no stories car) to see what they are SUPPOSED to be buying. Any mis-match is a red flag to these buyers. It goes from a no stories car to a 'comes with stories' car.

It's much like the numbers matching obsession in the corvette world. If the numbers do not match, they walk.

If you are going to build one - build the one with the 6 speed...

Sell white tip and buy another tip with color you want. Move all parts from your black 6speed and sell the black 6 speed.

Trade white tip with another tip with color combo you want. Move all parts from the black 6speed over and sell the black 6speed.

Sell the white tip.Trade black 6speed with a tip car with color combo you want and built the new tip.

is the white one brown interior or is it yellow(savanah?)

Swapping transmissions would lower the value of both cars significantly. Total value loss would be in the 10 to 20K range at least. Not telling a buyer would be borderline illegal and definitely unethical. Like it was said above, if you need a TIP, keep the tip.

This seems to be what you are asking for. Plz don't swap tip to 6-speed as that would significantly devalue the car you are selling. I can say I don't personally know a single person who wants a 911 tip in any color. 6-speed would be desired by more people no matter what the color. You could always paint your car whatever color you can imagine, but that would also devalue the car. Good luck. Hope you are happy with your choice.
