Direct oem replacement seats?
Hello everyone,
I'm currently on a quest to buy a 996tt. I see majority of 996tt come with supple seats. I was wondering, what other Porsche seats are a direct swap for the 996tt supple seats.
I believe these are regular 996 Turbo seats:

And they would be a direct replacement for supple seats.
These are the Recaro upgraded 996tt seats and electronics and eveyhting else still should bolt right up.

Do regular 996 Carrera like these also bolt right up with electronics:

I see boxter seats should work as well. Any newer ones I should be looking for.
Sorry for the noob question but I'm very fresh to the Porsche scene so expect few more basic post from me in the near future.

It looks like the 997 power seats have more adjustability then just forward/back adjustments. Do they have to be rewired to be fully functional?

I believe its just the way it seems as most 996ts I've seen did not have supple seats, I would keep looking as the right car will come along. If you change the front the rears will still be supple. Unless the car was really something special not worth the trouble.

They are beautiful, but haven't found one blk/blk 996tt that has them I had oem recaro seats in my last 3 cars and definitely sad about not having them in my 996tt.

Aftermarket... are there ones that are full black leather and oem? I'm not really trying to get bucket seats that are designed for racing.

+1, but that's the beauty of 996's...we can go with 997 seats if we wish, 997's can't run 996 seats without losing airbags

Yup, that is definitely plan A. But if I get desperate and I find a clean 996t for a good price, I want to se what my options are on changing the supple seats. The rear cushions are actually pretty cheap to replace. They got for around $300 on ebay for the whole set.
Are sports seats the recaro seats?

its more critical to find a seat that fits your body rather than the car. theres enough room to fit many seats but lots of seats are to narrow or to wide for some its for you to decide what you need the most. kidney support, lumbar, high thigh support ect.

I believe this is correct. But I def would not make my choice of cars dependant on seats. If the car and the price is right, freaking buy it. Change the seats out later. 997 seats have airbags in the backrest, 996 have no airbags - they are in the door. There are literally thousand of seats to coose from...
