as i'm considering a new S4, this seems interesting!
"We did some fast driving on the Interstate, then some back road twisties. This was done very early morning, with light/no traffic. My new S4 is not quite broken in, but eased it up to 120 or so. Was feeling pretty good, when my friend blew by in the Ruf like I was standing still. The acceleration and speed on that car is mind boggling. It's truly awesome. He took delivery in Germany on the Turbo, then drove it directly to Ruf, who did their magic. Then shipped to US. Puts out 550 hp, 568 torque.
On the twisties, the S4 held its own. Love accelerating out of fast sweepers. Seemed well matched to the M5. We'll see after it's fully broken in."
from my past audi board. (may go back really soon

It sure is. He is a great guy too. I am happy to call him a friend. He will be part of our "Squadron" heading down to the Tail of the Dragon.
Here is a pic of his on the left and mine on the right (before my latest rash of mods)......................

That's me indeed…..the power of the internet continues to boggle my feeble mind
The owner of the S4 and M5 are friends/colleagues of mine where I work. The s4 is some gorgeous car…..that 8 cyl takes up every inch of the engine bay. The car has an impressive exhaust note and handles the twisties superbly. My buddy told me that some aftermarket company has already developed a supercharger boosting the horse power to the mid-400’s….that would make this thing that much more awe-inspiring. As for the M5, it remains my favorite performance sedan….having owned one myself prior to the TT. We plan to do it again when the s4 is properly broken-in.
p.s….9 days and counting for the Tail of the Dragon meet
