+1 (I understand the VQ is reliable and torquey but to avoid $3k in maintenance you would rather have 15k in depreciation?!?) drive safe and enjoy, my opinion doesn't matter it's your money brother! They do have a nice @$$ tho

I just came back from the Midwest, my brother in law have 2014 370Z, it was heavenly driving this car on open interstate highway early in the morning. The Z was fun, fast, very stable at high speed, but it nowhere near my 2008 C2S. The torque wasn't there from 60 to 100, but I must admit it was faster than I thought. He had exhaust and header and some other mods making 350 hp and exhaust note was very good without drone in the cabin. However, when I get back to my 997TT, I completely forget about the Z

I added a 370z, black, just like the OP's, to my stable. I, unfortunately, had to sell it and bought the 997.

I test drove a 370Z back in 2012 when I was considering the Subaru BRZ.
From Edmunds: "The 370Z stands out thanks to its thrilling performance, sculpted styling and surprisingly comfortable cabin. There are some downsides -- the engine is prone to unwelcome roughness at high rpm, there's an abundance of road noise and outward visibility is poor -- but the 370Z it is certainly one of the most exciting two-seat sports cars around and a fitting progression of the Z's heritage."
Those downsides mentioned were exactly what turned me off from it; I drove a 2010 Sport model so I'm not sure if it's improved any since. It also didn't help that I had a 240Z at the time and felt that it bore no resemblance to the original, though I don't know how it possibly could in today's world with a million safety features weighing the car down.

Does the above sound familiar?

OP,
Black is beautiful! I am still a Z-fan so congrats.
If you haven't joined, check out the370z.com forum. I'm still lurk there. A bunch of great guys over there.
Oh...get the clear bra right away. Paint is a little thin on the car.
