If you go 5-10 Watts higher I don't think you will have a problem but anything more and you destroy $2,000 headlights just for the Blue look.
Thanks for your help. You have really aided me and prevented me from buying a product that would not work on my car. BTW, I have no idea what the standard wattage are for the driving lights, fogs, or Xenons. Do you know them off hand? Also, you are positive about the H6 for the driving lights correct. Reason I ask is someone else was sure it was the H7 for my car. My car is a MY2003. I guess I will need to know the standard wattage and your suggestion is not go more than 5-10watts higher? Thanks again, I know this thread has probably gone on much too long, but, I think I am final getting to where I need to be as far as bulb knowledge. Which company sells 6000k xenons, driving lights, fogs, and high beam. I saw the link topdaytrader gave me, but, none of the lights show wattage.

H3 55 Watts
H6W 6 Watts
H11 High Beam 55 Watts

Check out Hid Online/Autolamps for the 6000k Philips D2S.

The most recent above post, of coarse lead me to more questions:

I now know the max wattage, but, for instanance, my fogs are currently 55w-110w, but msindi, yours are 55w-85w. What should I get and watch out for?

dbelleperc-
I checked out the site you posted. Problem is, they do not have h3, h11, or h6w lights available at 6000k. I want to stick with the same manufacturer and buy all the lights from them to avoid any variance. Do you know where I can get all these bulbs at 6000k from the same manufacturer/company?

I was just linking you to the best bulb availible for a 6000K conversion, I don't think that you want to buy a asian bulb and have it blow after a couple of days, or have it destory your xenon ballast.

Lou,
up to this point i can see u're a person that as **** as me

i personally think PIAA makes the best bulbs (i know they don't last the longest, but i like the quality/finish of their bulb). they don't have H3 in 6000K, only 5000K, even 7500K... could it be even ricier??

since the H6W is only 6W, if u want to match the 6000K blue it's not possible, or ure getting a pure blue bulb... & not gonna look too cool in daytime

have u thought about H3 in yellow? since they meant to be fog light... wanna see what's gonna look like blue & yellow

LOL!!
Also guilty as charged!
Reminds me of the Porsche approved pre-owned vehicle ad:
"Used" is such a harsh word. We prefer "previously obsessed-over."

I agree with 20C4S on everything that he said. That is why I am helping you out so much because when you have something to do you want it done right the first time.

I wish I would have said that about the H6W bulb awile ago because that statement is also true. That is why I think that the Philips blue bulbs that I linked to you earlier it the best and only choice for that bulb.

Gee, you guys think I am ****? I drive everyone around me crazy with how **** I am. I have 2 assistants and I have them do nothing but answer phones because I cannot imagine letting someone else handle my customers. I figure I do it right the first time and if I don't, I have nobody to blame but myself

Back to the lights. I think I will simply try to match the fogs, driving lights, and brights the same color and then get the 6000k xenons. Thanks so much. I'll let you know how it works out. BTW, if anyone want my existing 55w-110w4150k bulbs, let me know. I will give them to whoever wants them.

Did Porsche use different lights for 2003? Every website I go to has an application guide, but, they only go up to MY2002, and they do not have the turbo, it simply says 911. On every application guide I try, it says H7 for driving lights. What gives?

It is H7 but only if you have Halogen Highbeams, but if you have Xenon's then they change to H11.
