I actually checked the record what was done to the RS4 i was interested in, black on black, KW suspension, and From what i can tell it is some kind of lemon car, pretty much every 10-15k starting -at 6,000 -something was replaced---

I've owned a modified 2004 S4 and made it to 155K before I sold it. Did not go the route of JHM or VF SC upgrades but did everything else with intake, spacers, pulley, DP and exhaust and KW V3 on it. Darn reliable car in my opinion and I drove the crap out of it. Best seats of any vehicle I've ever owned. Only motul 5-40, did do a tranny flush in the lifetime tranny

I had a 2002 S8 with the 40v engine and it also had tensioner issues at 110K miles. On mine the tensioner 'shoe' didn't wear out but rather the the driver's side cam chain tensioner failed, so it needed to be replaced. There was no internal damage or anything, but it still wasn't a cheap fix. Nor was the fuel pump, steering rack, etc...

Those 40v engines have a multitude of issues, despite how great they sound at 6500rpm+.....

Had an A4 2.0 B7 and found it too small for my 6'0" frame. I had to put a pad on the center console because my leg rested against it uncomfortably.

My step-daughter and I got a kick how much it the interior resembled her 2000 Passat.
