996 turbo going up in price
I noticed, about 5 years ago I bought my first 996 turbo for 40k. A few weeks ago I paid 47K for my new one. They are both '02's. To be fair the first one had 45k miles and this one has 24k miles with several thousand in extras. The prices do seem to be going up though. I couldn't find a decent low mileage one anywhere near 40K.

As a reference point, 1.5 years ago, I bought my 2002 with 25kish miles with $15k+ extras (retail) and I paid almost exactly what you did. I felt I overpaid just a bit, but it was the car I wanted; in my eyes, it was a fair deal for both parties . . . So, with this one data point, I would say that we are pretty close to flat. JMO, KH
People are definitely ASKING more for their cars.
And these prices are a few thousand more now than they were 3 years ago when I bought mine.
Sub 25k miles are going for close to $50k or more depending on x50, history owners and options.
Also there are a bunch of new owners picking them up, last C&C I went had about 6 996TTs show up, 3 of the guys i talked with picked them up after last fall.
