Meth Nozzles on the plenum?
Meth Nozzles on the plenum?
I was told by a friend to tap the plenum instead of the y-pipe for meth nozzles. Does anyone have any experience on this? good/bad hit/skip?

post TB if you do 6 meth injectors, one for each cylinder. but that would be way more complicated. also you will want to use smaller injectors as atomization process will be a bit faster with small ones, really I can not see any benefit to do that
The methanol needs time to convert to gas, and absorb heat. Personally, I believe its better to spray more meth earlier, than less meth later. The distribution of the methanol is very important in having a reliable methanol system.
I've run meth in my car for over 20k miles, spraying it every day. No problems so far!
Unlike BMW's, I haven't heard much of the problem with ignition of the intake tract due to valve float. In methanol injected M3s, I've seen a few manifold explosions.
Cheers

997tt are more prone to manifold explosions when running meth and higher boost, 996tt manifolds seem to deal better with meth
the best injection point seems to be just before the Y pipe split, too close there will not be enough time to convert to gas problems, too far - will absorb too much heat from the engine. like 20cm from TB sounds just right

SRM plenum, throttle body, y-pipe, tial BOV's SRM 4.5 inch intercoolers, 71mm srm turbos, ported stock exhaust manifolds, SRM dual fuel pumps -6 fuel lines fuel lab FPR -6 return 1300cc injetors SRM rails evoMS crank pulley, aquamist water/meth im sure i am missing a few things
Still on the car, I just went with a different y-pipe and need to add jet adapters to instal the aquamist jets.

I think my buddy Matt is running the SRM ICs...he was running the crap out of the car and IATs were in check all day. Either way, nice setup!!!
It was on the car when i bought it from ttboost some years back. We will see how it performs on the dyno very soon
It was an older Aquamist kit. HFS3 I think? Performed very well. MANY thread about it...back to 08-09...We had it tuned very aggressively, which is why I said the FIRST thing that car needs is a fuel system...Looks like you're having fun with it...good luck!!!
