Honestly even if you get that box sealed up it won't be nearly as good as fenderwell intakes. From that box to the turbo is a couple of FEET of convoluted tubing
Best mod I've done to date is putting the filters on the front of the turbos. Made a HUGE difference in power

Cool Log

Latest 3 back to back logs this time with IAT's.

Todd has added a bit more boost at 6500 since the last log after I tightened the wg's half a turn.

Very foggy in Aussie tonight couldn't see a thing without A/C and even then only a car length in front.

Very happy with the Wagner 5.7" IC's which have allowed a re-map and a huge power increase over my old 3.5" Wagner's

Looking to get a bit more out of it when I get the carbon dual intake back in and properly sealed up..

top results against ambient temperatur...with your 5.7

my log today with 3.5 After Market

27 degress ambient plus 5deg at cruisingspeed
plus 24deg at hard pulls 1.4 bar 7400 rpm
quick back to cruising temps after 60 sec

but i ask me to give the 5.7 a try....better flow and positive temp delta

at 6150 your tune is modified...but your wastegates dont follow them complete
fuel shows first time 0.83

Its has a Protomotive Mafless Tune. The latest incarnation was uploaded last night just before i took those logs.

Todd doesnt think im running out of fuel just yet. I have a Silly Rabbit Stage On Fuel System in the cupboard but waiting for the evo2 wiring loom to be sent.

The wagner 5.7" are great and the install is so easy with the carbon shrouds. I posted an install thread too if ur interested.

Cheers
Tim

what i see is ...with a lower pd faktor higher boost...for my understanding better flow

next temp go slowly up...temperatur is more balanced at a lower level/maybe temp go not so fast down but at lower level...

boost level already at lower rpm is higher

a plus for 4.5 or 5.7 intercooler vs 3.5

Im not sure what u mean, but I see you know more about the logs than me.

The logs are for my tuner and to show the gains made by the 5.7" coolers over the 3.5" coolers they replaced.

The 5.7" coolers make much better more usable power with my little high boost temp k16s.

If anyone cares my fuel usage has dropped significantly since I installed the 5.7" ICs the highest Ive seen has been 8.8 litres per 100km that includes city driving and my many datalogging runs. Before install it would of been as high as 12 litres per 100km for similiar driving.

Not withstanding saving a few bob on fuel is probably not high on the priority list as you have alluded to for most of us boost junkies (Another circa 95000 km on the odometer at that differential and those Wagners are a free carry in terms of paying for themselves), that's a significant percentage difference. Just to clarify, that's all other variables being constant. Eg Same tune, no tune tweaks etc etc

Of course Ive been tuning since I instaled the ICs no point doing all the logging if ur not going to fine tune.

The increase in power and fuel saving was immediate and noticed well before I started fine tuning with Todd which has mainly added more boost over 6500rpm.

I did install Forge DVs and wrap my Gemballa stainless exhaust post turbo while installing the ICs, not sure if that made much difference though.

Your logs look good. Consistent with most of the proto logs I see.

On those last runs your wastegate duty cycle is getting up there. I would try tightening the wastegate a little bit more as you have no spikes earlier on and this will give you a little bit extra so the turbos will meet target boost.

I asked Todd K about doing just that he said dont as the boost will exceed the set point and close the throttle.
