use it to repair or replace needed items. tune will lead to clutch which leads to more parts for modding which leads to turbos whoich leads to fueling which leads to internals. its a vicious circle.

I'd ask, is increasing straight line performance, like pulls or drag racing important to you or enhancing the overall driving experience in turns and the twisties.

For me it's both as it becomes a drag race or pull contest between turns. But for me the car does fine in that department stock and it gave me greater pleasure to drive lowering the beast with coilovers, adjustable sways, converting to RWD. My car is a lot more fun to drive fast in the canyons now and feels more like a 911.

I like to think, what would I like to improve most on the car? Clearly the answer for me is increase the cornering speeds and how the car feels in transitions. The looks of a lowered car too are important.

You won't get all this for $2k unless you buy good used, which several have done.

My first mod was a better suspension. Bilstein struts, H&R springs, new top mounts and bearings can be easily bought for under $2k.

Agreed, $2k in tuning will get your feet wet and a commitment, it never ends. That's why I didn't go there with my TT. I've been there with nearly everything I've owned since I piston and cylinder ported my YG1 Yamaha 80 in '66.

I have to agree as well. I want to keep it stock. I've been through that route with my Cayenne turbo. I'm looking forward to spend on suspensions for fun driving. 420hp is enough for me. Thank you all for your comments.

I can understand that. It's good to know that whenever you are ready 75 to 100 hp is a few thousand dollars away really nice quicker response, lighter weight and less heat.

If I can help you on the suspension let me know. These cars can be pigs but with a few choice adjustments even if you use just springs you can really change for more planted balanced feel. Brake pads and fluid also.
