Question Wheel tire fitment help

Can anyone help me with a wheel fitment issue? I bought a set of OZ allegerita's for my 996tt from a forum member who had them on his 996 4s. 245/40/18 8.5 ET53 and 315/30/18 12" ET51
He claims they did not rub at all and his car was lowered. I called tire rack, where the package was purchased, and they said it is the correct offset for the car. I then rented a wheel spacer kit from ECS and tried 2-10mm of offsets but still had rubbing on the front inner wheel skirt when the wheel is turned.

So I am at a loss. Do I order smaller tires or is there something wrong with my car that I don't know about? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. It sounds like this combo should fit...

Thanks, Matt

i believe you can run 235-40 on an 8.5 if you want. I have them on my twists and I rub since I am pretty low. I have 245-40 on my 9s up front and will rub as well in turns.
