I still don't know, but it's ran well (other then the codes) for 55000 miles.

VGLNTE1, did you ever resolve this issue? I'm curious what the cause was.

I'm having the same issues right now. No boost leaks, two different tunes, and my boost is not very consistent. It was "stuck" at .5 for few pulls, then over boosted a lot and then everything went back to normal at 1.0 bars. Minutes later I was only boosting .8. Sounds like exactly what you been experiencing.

I'm leaning toward MAF sensor going out. Not really sure yet.

Gotcha. Have you been able to datalog your car? Did you replace MAF already or waiting for Markski to give you advice before you proceed.

A few weeks ago I started to intermittently get the ABS/PSM amber warnings. Sometimes 10 minutes after driving. I'd stop, switch off the ignition and restart. Sometimes they would instantly reappear, sometimes not. 32XXX miles, stock motor. Sound like a MAF issue? Do you have the Bosch MAF P/N? TIA

that may be the bosch maf for the 986 boxster which is in fact the same part for our cars. however, going from memory here..

I've always used the bosch maf w part number ending in "124-00".

( just looked at that pic on the amazon listing, and it references BOTH part #'s so its correct. )

For all the talk and suspicion of bad MAFs, I don't recall too many people actually resolving their issues by replacing the MAF. It's always the first thing everyone checks but usually never the culprit. I've got 3 of them and they all work fine.
Unless you're using an oiled filter, that's a different story.

Use an air compressor with a pressure regulator on it and a fitting that you can put a small hose on. Disconnect the small boost hose on the wastgate actuator and attach the compressor hose to it. Slowly increase your line pressure until you see the wastegates rod moving. Should be around 0.6bar(8psi).
