How much BHP is a drop in filter good for?

Has anyone dynoed a before and after on a drop in filter such as BMC of K&N in a stock Turbo?

One thing that has been tested many times with conclusive results is that "performance" filters let a lot of dirt go through... but never a performance testing on an OEM TT....

yes, people have done those sorts of tests. Just changing
your filter element in a stock or very near stock 996tt makes
no difference as I recall. When a car is modified to run a lot
more power, it needs more air, and then freer filtration is a
help.
Porsche engineers aren't stupid. They won't leave any
appreciable horsepower on the table by under-equiping it
in the cheap air filter area.
