Deactivate PSM without lights...
so *intervention* is still occurring even on 991gt3's?! sadly, i have never experienced rear axle steering ala 991gt3, but that has to bring new meaning to the concept of "nanny aids"! but i do often live vicariously through the reading of your exploits lol.
Yes. There is still a lot of intervention. I left the nannies on for the first few laps as I simply forgot to turn them off since I'm not in the habit of turning anything off on my car (since there's nothing to turn off). After I got comfortable with the car and started running it harder the nannies quickly started interfering especially when rotating the car under hard braking or while getting a bit of a slide going under power on turn exit. Once I was ably to turn everything off the car became much more fun and lap times dropped. I had sport mode on which I think firms up the shocks and also opens up a baffle in the exhaust. It's a great car that sounds amazing and has an amazing gearbox. The PDK is simply phenomenal in how fast it shifts. This one had the Euro buckets with harness which are supportive but a bit large, larger than the Euro 996 buckets for sure. The downside is that the car is not as engaging with the PDK and as such becomes a bit boring. It's a very easy car to drive fast and not as demanding which makes it a bit dull. It's still about 6 seconds slower per lap on a 2 minute lap than my car. It's simply night and day in performance which is a huge testament what can be done with the 15yr old 996 chassis. The 991GT3 would make a great street car as it's very comfortable and simply looks amazing, a real head turner. Long term, I don't believe these cars are going to end up nearly as bulletproof as the 996/7 Metzger powered cars as the 991GT3s are still blowing up and catching on fire, even those with the replaced motors.. The latest one blew up at Road Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and burned up.

thanks for that review! i only find it astonishing that there are things than can be turned "off" in a new gt3. what banker made THAT decision? but hopefully it isn't "fire suppression mode".
but seriously, that must be for the less daring of owners, but not caitlin! who i see here almost daily putting around malibu in that purple gt3rs! but i'm sure some segment of the gt3's target market/audience appreciates exhaust notes that are made more pronounced at the push of a button! along with programmable suspension stiffness ( though a better idea lol ) also only a toggle away. so although, i know why i'd really enjoy owning a 991gt3 esp as a daily, i also understand more completely why a reasonably modded 96t is enough for me.
(..and back to the topic at hand ) i guess i mostly enjoy "it", because there really is no "off" switch.
