I am sick of the sloppy useless lighter outlet in my car that insists on falling out. Despite my exhausted efforts, I cannot find the part number for the replacement outlet.

The loose one shown is that part number as is the one in my car currently.

 

Perhaps you aren't big enough? The lighter assembly in my car is almost too tight! I think I have a spare horseshoe with a lighter assembly in it, I'll dig it out and see if it's tight too :-)

My lighter socket is so tight it pushes the chargers out of it, has anyone found one(phone charger) that works good>?

 

mine has a light sorround and is the part on post #7. soild fit

 

i believe i already have the tighter socket, cause the spring tension pushes the chargers out of the socket. one was even damaged because it was too tight and i had to throw it away bent the ground tab and broke the plastic. Im asking about the Phone charger Part,(the part the usb cable plugs into) Steve.

 

Gotcha. I mounted a usb charger outlet on my center console and tapped the phone hot lead under the center stack
